Holding on to Love. Mandy Gutsell ©

The journey was never meant to be easy.

Love rarely is.

You carried worry,

long nights,

and decisions that felt too heavy for one heart.

You asked yourself again and again

“Am I doing enough?”

“Am I doing the right thing?”

But love was there

in every question,

in every tired morning,

in every choice you made.

Care may now be shared

with other hands.

But love

was never something you handed over.

It is still there

in every visit,

every gentle touch,

every moment you sit beside them.

So if guilt still whispers to you,

answer it with this truth:

You did not stop loving.

You simply found another way

to keep them safe.

And that, too,

is love.
